What we store
- Your account: username, first name, a scrambled (hashed) password, time zone.
- Your CV: the file you upload, its text, and the bullet lines built from it, with your review choices.
- Your preferences, career reports, the companies you select, job scores, generated resumes, and the jobs you mark as applied or interviewing (including your notes).
- Usage records: which AI tasks ran for you and what they cost, so budgets work.
Who can see it
- Only you see your CV, bullets, resumes, scores and applications in the app. Every page and file download checks that the data belongs to you.
- The admin sees account names, usage and AI costs, and anything you send through Feedback. The admin runs the server, so they could technically reach the database, but the app never shows them your CV or resumes.
- Job listings come from public company career sites and are shared by everyone.
Who processes it
- An AI provider (currently Google Gemini on Google Cloud Vertex AI; later possibly Anthropic Claude) receives the parts of your CV needed to score jobs and write resumes. These providers do not use API data to train their models by default.
- Google Cloud hosts the server and the encrypted backups. Cloudflare protects the website and carries the encrypted connection to it.
- Nothing is sold, and there are no ads or tracking scripts.
How long and how to delete
- Your data stays until you delete it. Settings → Privacy and security lets you download everything as a ZIP, or delete your account. Deletion removes your data from the live site immediately.
- Encrypted backups are kept for up to 60 days, so deleted data disappears from backups within 60 days.
